At Roy Hill, we believe that successful safety outcomes are a direct result of applying our values to guide our behaviours, conversations and culture.

Roy Hill is committed to providing a safe, productive and healthy work environment for all employees, contractors, family members and visitors to our sites. From physical health and safety onsite, to feeling supported as part of the community, we all have a responsibility to take care of one another.

Operational safety

We’re constantly looking at new ways to implement and improve safety measures throughout our integrated operation. This includes developments such as our automatic train protection system; and our Lightning Protection System (LPS) which saw us awarded a 2018 Safety and Health Resources Sector Engineering Award at the DMIRS Awards for Excellence.

Mental health & emotional wellbeing 

We take the wellbeing of our people very seriously, with a number of initiatives and programs in place to support this. We encourage all our employees to get involved and participate. Choices include social clubs, BBQs and events, and state-of-the-art sporting, recreation and gaming amenities onsite. We also actively support learning and recreational activities, such as the establishment of our own radio station, Roy Hill Radio.

Employee Assistance Program and wellness support.

Assure is our trusted mental health and wellbeing partner, providing confidential wellbeing coaching and support. All employees, and their immediate family members, can access this support through Assure at no cost.

Support is available via phone, face to face or in-app messaging.

This service is completely confidential and voluntary for staff to access, if they need it.
