Meet Cathy Jacob
Blasting Technician
As a Blasting Technician with Roy Hill, you play an integral role onsite. You and your team ensure that each blast is carried out safely and accurately as we source and supply iron ore to the world. Although consistency is key, no two days on the job are quite the same – and as such, collaboration and great communication feel like second nature to you. You’re a proactive problem-solver, always prioritising safety for yourself and others as you prepare, install and maintain blasting infrastructure according to procedure. Yours is a technically challenging role, but an ultra-rewarding and engaging one too.
Meet Mark Horrigan
Laboratory Technician
It’s not every day you get to work alongside robots – unless you’re a Lab Technician with Roy Hill. This exciting role has you loading, managing and solving problems in our automated robotic sample handling systems. You have ample opportunity to flex your mechanical expertise and understanding of XRF and TGA instruments, as you carry out corrective and preventative maintenance on lab equipment and maintain our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Precision is your primary focus in every area, from sample tracking, to sample preparation to lab housekeeping and hygiene. Each day you get to work with modern tech in a forward-thinking environment.
Meet Michael Reid
Mineral Processing Operator
As a Mineral Processing Operator you play a crucial role in maintaining our processing plant so that it operates optimally while free of hazards. You’re eagle-eyed in this role: spotting, reporting and problem-solving operational faults should they arise in the operation and monitoring of the processing facility. On any given day you might work alongside the production, metallurgical and maintenance teams to iron out issues. Safety is your driving force and an ever-present consideration, whether you’re inspecting equipment or escalating process disruptions. Our Mineral Processing Operators take great pride in their work and work together in a supportive team.
