What a fan-stache-tic effort for Movember!

Some of us were Mo’ growers and others were Mo’ movers but together we were Mo’ supporters and raised a mo-mentous $103,109.
By growing Mos or getting moving, the Roy Hill Movember team were able to raise $38,000. Our popular Movember auction raised nearly $13,000, and with Roy Hill matching all donations our grand Mo’ Total is $103,109!
Our Roy Hill Movember team captain, Matt Hollands, said he was proud to have led the team this year and to witness firsthand the many conversations around men’s health that were sparked by getting hairy.
“This donation will go a long way in helping the fight against men’s cancers and suicide prevention and we should all be very proud of what we have achieved together.”
Matt also led the charge last week with a Movember shave off held at Gateway Tavern. The talented team from Hijacked Barbers in South Hedland came with clippers in hand, and we had a few fresh smooth faces by the end of the night.
Throughout the month we also had a number of mohawks being sported across our operations, and of course Mo’s in all different shapes and sizes. Plus, plenty of people walked, ran, cycled and swam for the cause.
Our total fundraising amount has us placed third on the Movember Mining Challenge, behind BHP and Rio Tinto. Given the difference in workforce numbers, this truly shows the generosity and care value of our Roy Hill people.
Thank you to everyone who donated. Together we’ve helped make a difference to the future of men’s health.
