Thank You Western Australia | Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe
Today is the final day of this year’s Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe, which saw 71 sculptures on Cottesloe’s spectacular coastline in Western Australia.
Thank you to each and every one of the artists for their artworks and efforts. It has been a global exhibition during a time of global strife with artists from Ukraine to the USA, Japan to Mexico and South Africa to the Czech Republic.
The white sands of Cottesloe beach have seen visitors taking in the sculptures and enjoying the beach from dawn until after sunset each day. Visitor numbers have returned to pre-Covid levels thanks to the tens of thousands of visitors each week who have experienced the transformation of one of the world’s most beautiful beaches into one of the world’s largest outdoor sculpture exhibitions. Thank you also to those who have joined us virtually through the Sculpture by the Sea App and social media and to our photographers and videographers from the photos and footage that have gone around the world.
“It’s really exciting to see the crowds back at Cottesloe this year. I would like to thank Mrs Rinehart for Hancock Prospecting and Roy Hill coming on board as Principal Sponsors of the exhibition. This follows Mrs Rinehart and her company’s previous support as Principal Sponsor, giving us significant financial support when we needed it most to make the free to the public exhibition possible” said David Handley, Founding CEO & Artistic Director of Sculpture by the Sea.
We extend thanks also to our staff, site crew and volunteers who have made this year’s exhibition enjoyable and memorable.
As we sign off from Cottesloe please view our online catalogues on our website, and contact our sculpture sales staff with any enquiries.
We hope to return to Cottesloe in March 2024, when another 70+ sculptures will transform the beach and parklands for the twentieth annual Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe.
