Roy Hill wraps up Family Site Visits for 2022
Excited families were given a unique opportunity to experience the FIFO lifestyle recently and see where their parents work during Roy Hill’s final Family Site Visit of the year.
Re-starting in June for the first time since the global COVID-19 outbreak, the visits are one of the highlights on the Roy Hill calendar and help to strengthen the connection to our people.
At the mine, our visitors are given a unique look at our state-of-the-art equipment and world-class operations before getting the chance to have a go for themselves on one of our simulators.
Touring the wharf, car dumper and stockyard, families attending our port and rail operations also get a special demonstration from our Emergency Services team, complete with firetrucks and hoses.
Lesley Adams, Executive General Manager People, Health & Safety & Corporate Affairs, said the trips helped keep our loved ones connected and grow their understanding of the Roy Hill experience.
She added: “Our family site visits provide an opportunity for family members to experience the FIFO lifestyle and get a better idea of the life their loved ones lead while at work.
“It’s one thing to hear about our world-class operations and the stunning Pilbara scenery, but to enable your loved ones to experience it for themselves is something else, which is why this is such a fantastic and popular initiative for our people.”
