Six years after meeting at Roy Hill, Craig and Sonia tied the knot surrounded by family and friends
Craig Dixon, Ancillary Operator, and his now-wife, Sonia Garratt, Operator, met by chance at Roy Hill mine six years ago.
True to his old-fashioned romantic nature, Craig planned a breathtaking experience in the Avon Valley three years later and proposed to Sonia. Her response was an enthusiastic yes.
Now happily back at work, the newlweds are looking forward to the future.
“We absolutely love our jobs. Mrs Rinehart is an inspiration and has worked so hard to make this the best mine site in the world. We feel very privileged to be employed here and hope to stay with Roy Hill for many years to come,” Sonia says.
