“Perth is synonymous with light and after the success of the CBD’s first drone show this February, the City of Light shows will honour our new brand and reinforce that no city lights up like Perth,” City of Perth Lord Mayor Zempilas said. The City of Light Shows are proudly presented by the Hancock Group of companies, including Hancock Prospecting, Roy Hill and Atlas Iron. The City will be illuminated over the summer with six special light shows to wow the people of Perth from November to February.

Australian mining billionaire Gina Rinehart has been celebrated for her outstanding leadership journey after being crowned WA Pinnacle Awards’ Business Leader of the Year. Judges on Thursday night acknowledged Mrs Rinehart’s transformation of Hancock Prospecting from a company with significant potential, to a top-tier firm employing thousands of people in WA. She was also recognised for making a positive impact on the wider community, through her contribution in education, medicine and sports, and for contributing to the transformation of the iron ore industry.

Roy won the Mine Project Success of the Year Award for the WHIMS Expansion Project (WHIMS 1.5). The pioneering of the Wet High Intensity Magnetic Separator (WHIMS) plant in December 2019 allowed capture of high-grade ultrafine iron ore units which would otherwise have ended up as waste.
