Indigenous fashion label Ticia Designs makes international debut in Paris

Fitzroy Crossing designer, Letticia Shaw, showcased her collection at Paris Fashion Week on Sunday. Her label, Ticia Designs, is a fashion brand that fuses culture and craft with contemporary trendsHeld at Paris' stunning La Galerie Bourbon, the event location added an additional touch of high-end luxury the Australian designer strives to capture within all her garments. Aside from Shaw's stunning designs, emerging First Nations models Kahlia Rogers and Letisha Davies also stole the runway spotlight.

WAtoday can reveal the City of Perth has quietly issued planning approval for $19.5 million in additions and alterations to the building at lot 53, which is set to become the miner’s new corporate headquarters.

Gerhard Veldsman, chief executive of Roy Hill, is the latest business leader to sound off on the “same job, same pay” IR laws, telling the Minerals Week conference in Canberra the overhaul would force miners to shift staff to “minimum award standards”. “Don’t let a small group of people out of Victoria that has never set foot on a mine site decide what’s good for you,” Mr Veldsman, pictured, told the crowd, adding the mining sector already paid nation-leading salaries. “We work together to make the industry better and then we make sure that when mining does well our employees share in it. Same job, same pay threatens to take this away and force us back to minimum award standards.”
