Hancock Prospecting City of Light Show
The Hancock Prospecting City of Light show is returning to the City of Perth Australia Day 2024 celebrations with a more spectacular dazzling spectacle of fireworks and drones.
Numerous events will be held during this special day, including the Australia Day Citizenship and Awards Ceremony, which saw Perth City welcoming new Australian citizens across the world.
From 3 pm, Langley Park is the host of an array of vibrant entertainment, with fun for all ages and a huge range of free activities, including water slides in Supreme Court Gardens. From 8.15 pm, crowds will be wowed by the sparkling light show above the Swan River featuring drones, fireworks and a specially curated soundtrack featuring some classic Aussie favourites.
From the Executive Chairman, Mrs. Gina Rinehart, and from all of us, we wish you a very happy Australia Day.
8:15pm – 8.45pm* | Swan River
Showcasing a combination of fireworks and drone formations, see the sky above the Swan River explode with colour and dazzling lights at 8.15pm for a spectacular 30-minute show!
Compared to previous Australia Day Skyworks events, the light show will be positioned closer to the Perth foreshore (Langley Park) and less central over the Swan River. For the best experience, the City of Perth encourages viewing the light show from Langley Park. The drone element of the light show has not been designed to be viewed from other locations such as South Perth or Kings Park. If viewed from areas outside of Langley Park the audience will be unable to hear the narrated soundtrack or have access to event facilities.
*Light Show timings can be affected by wind levels and are subject to change.
